Without a goal, you have no definite target or aim. You do things without challenging yourself and when this happens you are likely to fall short of reaching where others who have succeeded in the same endeavour got to.
Establishing a goal sets you apart from mediocrity. It makes you more serious and helps build your ability to focus on the task ahead
